Gingerbread Men
New Year is coming — it's time to exchange gifts, greetings and prepare festive desserts. I recommend baking cookies that delight not only with their taste but also with their appearance. Children will really enjoy the process of decorating and eating such treats.

Ingredients
for 20 servings
- butter 100 g
- sugar 100 g
- honey 100 g
- eggs 2
- ground ginger 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon 1 tsp
- baking powder 2 tsp
- flour 350-400 g
Instructions
Step 1 of 9
Cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
Step 2 of 9
Add honey and mix.
Step 3 of 9
Add eggs and mix.
Step 4 of 9
Add ginger and cinnamon, then mix.
Step 5 of 9
Knead the dough by adding baking powder and flour.
Step 6 of 9
Roll out the dough (a thin layer will ensure a crispy result, while a thick one will provide softness).
Step 7 of 9
Cut out figures using cookie cutters. If you don't have any, you can use a paper stencil.
Step 8 of 9
Line a baking pan with parchment or grease it with butter, and carefully place the pieces. If the dough is rolled thin and is difficult to move, you can roll it directly on baking paper, cut out the shapes, remove the excess, and transfer them together with the paper to the baking pan. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for 8–10 minutes.
Step 9 of 9
Decorate the finished gingerbread men to taste. You can use confectionery pens and sprinkles, or coconut flakes, melted chocolate, or whipped egg white with sugar (whip 1 egg white with 50 g sugar).
